Cripple Creek and Victor are old mining towns located southwest of Pikes Peak.  It takes us about an hour to get there.  It is a scenic drive with views of Pikes Peak, the Sawatch Mountain Range to the west and the Sangre De Cristo Mountain Range to the south.

As we descend, we’ll stop at the Cripple Creek Heritage Center.  Lots of history, information, and old artifacts with great views of the mountains.

Lots of history in this town with abandoned mines and mills about.  We take the Gold Loop, which drives around the Cripple Creek and Victor Gold Mine.  Along the way we stop and see the sights, including old structures and a lookout over the mine itself.

There are many things to do once we are there.  You can tour the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine (this is seasonal), take the Cripple Creek and Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad, tour the Outlaw and Lawman Jail Museum, the Victor Lowell Thomas Museum, Victor Trading Co and Manufacturing Works, and more.  Or, you might just want to go to a Casino and do some gambling.

We have about an hour and a half once there for you to explore what you want.

The costs of the museums and tours are not factored into our cost, as each has a different price. Some require tickets, please contact us with any places you’d like to visit at your earliest convenience so we can make sure they are booked.
